किसी तरह का शौक खाली समय का सदुपयोग का सबसे बेहतरीन जरिया है. यह प्राकृतिक होता है. शौक व व्यवसाय में बहुत अंतर है. व्यक्ति के शौक में लाभ हानि की कोई भूमिका नही होती है.
शौक का मकसद कभी लाभ प्राप्त करना नही होता है, यदि ऐसा है तो वह शौक न होकर व्यवसाय बन जाता है. तथा यह शौक नही रहता है.
अलग अलग व्यक्तियों के शौक अलग अलग हो सकते है. जैसे ड्राइंग, किताबें, नृत्य, क्रिकेट पढ़ना, बागवानी, यात्रा आदि. एक अच्छे शौक के बिना जीवन को तनाव मुक्त व खुश बनाना कठिन है.
शरीर के तनाव व सुस्तता को दूर करने का शौक एक अच्छा माध्यम है. यह व्यक्ति के जीवन को सुखद बनाने के साथ साथ खुश रखता है.
मेरे कई मित्र है, इनमें से सभी के शौक अलग अलग है. किसी को पसंदीदा किताब पढ़ने, टिकटों या सिक्के एकत्र करने, पक्षी देखने, बागवानी, फोटोग्राफी, मछली पकड़ने, तैराकी, प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों के औटोग्राफ एकत्र करना और संगीत सुनने का शौक है.
मेरा पसंदीदा शौक बागवानी है। मेरे घर से जुड़ा एक बड़ा मैदान है। मैंने इस जमीन को एक सुंदर बगीचे में बदल दिया है। मैंने अपने बगीचे में कुछ फलों के पेड़ लगाए हैं।
मैंने खूबसूरत फूलों के कुछ पौधे भी लगाए हैं। मैं अपने बगीचे में सब्जी उगता हूं और वहां पढ़ता हूं। मैं इस पौधे को पानी देता हूं और फूलों की जड़ो से नियमित खरपतवार हटाता हु.
मेरे बगीचे में मीठी गंध और सुंदर फूल हैं। विभिन्न रंगों के खिलने वाले फूल आनंद से दिल को भरते हैं। वे मीठी खुशबु देते हैं और वातावरण को स्वस्थ बनाते हैं।
विभिन्न प्रकार के गुलाब और कई बेले मेरे प्यारे बगीचे के विशेष आकर्षण हैं। मुझे खूबसूरत फूल देखने के लिए बेहद आराम मिलता है।

दिन रात अपने काम की दिनचर्या से थकावट से फुर्सत का वक्त निकालने का काम हमारा शौक करता है. यह हमें बोरिंग लाइफ से निकालकर, एक शानदार जीवन की ओर ले जाता है.
भिन्न भिन्न लोगो के अलग अलग अपने शौक होते है. कुछ फोटोग्राफी, टिकट संग्रह, पुराने सिक्के संग्रह, बागवानी, गायन, और तैराकी के शौक पालते हैं।
फोटोग्राफी मेरा शौक है। मेरे अच्छे माता-पिता मुझे फोटो शूट करने में कभी मनाही नही करते हैं। मैं पिकनिक और तथा विभिन्न पर्यटन स्थलों को निहारने की हर संभव कोशिश करता हूँ।
तथा वहाँ के बेहतरीन नजारों को अपने कैमरे में कैद करता हु. इस तरह के फोटोग्राफी का मेरे पास एल्बम है. जिनमें प्राकृतिक द्रश्यों व जानवरों के सुंदर चित्र है.
तस्वीरें ही हमें बीतें लम्हों की याद दिलाती है. मै मेरे सहपाठियों, मित्रों व रिश्तेदारों के तस्वीरें अपना शौक पूरा करने के लिए अपने कैमरे में कैद करता है.
मुझे फोटोग्राफी में कई पुरस्कार भी मिल चुके है. इस तरह मुझे अपने शौक पर गर्व है, तथा हर व्यक्ति का अपना शौक होना चाहिए.
